Meet Your Groomer
Hi, I'm Lana.
I've always loved being around dogs, and now I'm excited to offer grooming services here at Happy Home. My goal is simple: to make sure every pup leaves feeling fresh, comfortable, and happy.
I know grooming can be a bit stressful for some dogs, so I take a gentle and patient approach, making sure they feel relaxed and cared for the whole time. Whether it's a quick tidy-up or a full groom, I want every dog to have a positive experience — and that goes double for nervous pups and first-time visits.

Is Your Dog A Good Fit?
Most dogs are. Here's how to know for sure.
We groom all breeds, including nervous and first-time dogs — but we're honest about the cases where another groomer might be a better fit.
Who We Groom
- All breeds and coat types, from puppies to seniors
- Nervous or anxious dogs who need a slower pace
- First-time grooms and gentle puppy introductions
- Dogs with matted or overgrown coats
- Senior dogs who need extra patience and care
Common Concerns We Handle
- "My dog hates being touched on the paws or ears"
- "My dog has never been groomed before"
- "My dog's coat is badly matted"
- "My dog is older and gets tired or stiff quickly"
When We'd Recommend Another Groomer
We're honest about where our service isn't the right fit. We don't take on dogs that are aggressive towards handlers, or that require sedation from a vet to be safely groomed. If that sounds like your dog, your vet can usually recommend a groomer experienced with medical-needs cases — and we're always happy to point you in the right direction.

Frequently Asked Questions
Most full grooms take between 1.5 and 2.5 hours, depending on your dog's size, coat condition, and how settled they are. Puppy grooms and nervous-dog appointments may take a little longer, as we always work at your dog's pace rather than rushing.
Completely okay — it's something we handle often. Let us know when you book and we'll plan a gentle, reward-led first session so your dog has a positive experience from the start.
We can usually work through mild to moderate matting as part of a Full Groom. For more severe matting, a shorter "clip down" may be needed for your dog's comfort and skin health — we'll always talk this through with you before going ahead.
Yes — senior dogs are very welcome. We take extra care with positioning, pace, and breaks for older dogs who may be stiff, tired more easily, or simply need a gentler touch.
We're based in Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol, as part of the established Happy Home Dog Boarding & Grooming business (serving the area since 2012). Get in touch via the contact page for directions or to ask about collection options.
We're not able to safely groom dogs that are aggressive towards handlers, or dogs that require vet sedation to be groomed. In those cases, your vet can usually point you toward a groomer experienced with medical-needs cases.
